2020 was a depressing year, especially for the film industry
on account of the Covid19 pandemic. As a result, many cinemas were forced to
shut down to avert the spread of the virus, which has claimed over 5 million
lives globally.
Many countries have imposed lockdown, shifting
people to stream or watch their favorite movies via online
platforms.
Currently, we’re living in world of dubiety. The pandemic has

but, as a zombie.

revitalized the deer.

before the train departures to Seoul. Seok-woo and his
daughter are among
terrified passengers trapped in a train to Busan.
The Rain
Imagine seeking refuge underground for 6 years due
to rain! This Netflix series premiered in May 2018 directed
by Kenneth Kainz
and Natasha Arthy.
Two siblings, Simone and Rasmus resurface, six years
seeking cover in a bunker, from a virus carried in the rain.
Once you come into
contact with the toxic raindrops, one develops seizure,
vomit, and less than a
minute, the person dies.
As Simone and Rasmus walk to find safety, they
encounter other young civilians and they journey together.
Rasmus finds out
later that, he can counteract the virus. The Apollon, the
organization Rasmus’s
father worked for, tries to hunt Rasmus because he could be
essential in
developing a vaccine.
I Am Legend
It’s a 2007 post-apocalyptic film inspired by the
novel of the same name, written by Richard Matheson.
Neville, the main character, is immune to the virus
and tries to formulate a cure for the virus. Initially, the
virus was meant to
cure cancer. The virus can taint both living and dead, and
turning them into
vampires.
To escape the virus, people are compelled to
quarantine and rampart their surroundings with crucifixes,
vampire repellents,
and other techniques to keep off the vampires.
Contagion (2011)
Contagion is a movie where a man is forced to
isolate himself together with his daughter after his wife and
son die from a
virus. As the virus continues to widespread, people cause
violence and looting
as they struggle to survive the deadly virus.
In the movie, a blogger named Alan Krumwiede
convinces people that he has been cured using strains derived
from Forsythia.
The authorities later arrested him for conspiracy.
Finally, the scientists came up with a vaccine which
is declared after successful trials.
The Last Ship
The Last Ship is a 2014 series distributed by Warner
Bro, based on a 1988 novel by William Brinkley.
The US Navy crew lead by Captain Thomas, are sent on
a mission to carry out a nuclear attack on Orel city and its
vicinity. After
completing the mission, a team of sailors aboard the ship
initiates nuclear
missiles unauthorized. This elicits other missiles destroying
and infecting the
island.
Nathan, a US Navy, together with Doctor Rachel Scott
is sent on a mission to establish a cure and save humanity
from deadly disease.
It Comes at Night
The movie is a psychological thriller involving two
families as main personalities. When an infectious outbreak
havocs, Paul, his
wife Sarah and their son Travis isolates themselves in an
abandoned house, deep
in the woods, away from the wrath of this contagious disease.
One night, a man named Will tries to break into
Paul’s house, unaware that the house is occupied. He explains
that he is
searching for water for his family out there. Sarah convinces
Paul to accommodate
Will, his wife Kim, and their son Andrew in the house.
Some days later, Travis’s dog runs after concealed
aspect into the woods. On that night, they find the dog lying
on the floor
bleeding. They burn the dog because they suspect it was
infected, endangering
their lives.
At dawn, they discover that Andrew is infected and
the tension rises. There is a scuffle with the two families
as Will takes Paul

can leave. Sarah
manages to rescue her husband by shooting Will at the back.
Paul takes the gun,
shoots Andrew as they try to flee with his mother. Kim later
begs Paul to shoot
her to end her miseries.
Travis later dies from the disease while Paul and
Sarah sits knowing that they are also infected.
